Methodology
Starting with a Forté survey and barrier analysis, we identify specific traits and challenges in each situation and then tailor the curriculum to help overcome those obstacles.
Our programs are designed to help people become better at engaging with each other (via conversations, emails, texts and body language training), keeping difficult situations calm (via empathetic listening and processing training), and gaining alignment (via comfortable compromise training).
We teach in-person workshops and will soon be adding e-learning.
The Forte Institute Surveys: A Stronger Start to Our 4S Conversations® Process
Awareness is the first step to change. It’s hard to get better at communicating and interacting with others if you don’t really understand your own strengths and weaknesses. Though most people have some self-awareness, oftentimes what they feel isn’t always 100% accurate…which is why we partner with the Forté Institute to tap into their detailed strengths. Their surveys generate detailed reports that provide laser-focus feedback in five different areas.
Survey Says
The following five Forté Institute surveys help us guide our coursework to address specific needs of a person, team or organization and enhances our situational awareness.
Communication Style Survey gives each person detailed information about “who” they are, how they’re currently adapting to their environment, and how they are most likely coming across to others. We measure their communication strengths, which reflect; decision making style, people focus, pace and system/detail focus. The survey details each person’s primary and secondary strengths and two sub-strengths.
Adapting Update identifies how an individual has been adapting to their environment over the past 30-days. We track and graph how a person or team is adapting to a specific environment, individual, or both. We update the individual on how they’re adapting their strengths, current logic style, current stamina level and current goals index. Each adapting update also shows how they’re likely coming across to others now and for the next 30 days. And we suggest a new communication style strategy for them to utilize for the next 30 days.
Interaction Report is a valuable tool to build and maintain relationships and teams. The report details each person’s communication style, and outlines how they can best work with their team. It highlights potential areas of misunderstanding and how to overcome them. The objective of this report is to create a direction and measurement for the development of a positive, effective and trusting relationship.
Team Pulse Report is designed to help individuals best understand how they fit in, are adapting, and how to achieve success with their teammates. Team leaders and members see which strengths and behaviors get the job done most efficiently. Misunderstanding is significantly reduced, and appreciation for how team members can best adapt and balance with one another is clear.
Forté i360 provides quantitative and qualitative, confidential and anonymous performance feedback that comes from a wide variety of sources, including managers, direct reports, peers, and internal or external customers. This broad view generates information to help each person in an organization develop key competencies. Reports are completely customizable to suit the situation and needs.
